Job Racketeering Scandal, Multi-Million Naira Financial Fraud Rocks FMC Gusau.

Dr. Bello A. Mohammed the Medical Director, federal medical centre Gusau, Director Administration Mr. Lawali Bungudu fingered, in financial fraud (several scandals) and job racketeering running into millionsillions of naira.
   
     
 A group, Anti-Corruption Network Initiative in a petition, accused Dr. Bello Mohammed of defrauding the medical centre with illegal award of contracts to family members and close allies.

Some of the allegations include misappropriation of public funds, over one hundred million naira missing (N100,000 000) and contravention of the Public Finance Management Law of Nigeria and aiding and abetting through criminal conspiracy by awarding contracts to his allies and cronies through which the institution funds were siphoned.

The group added that ‘Bello Mohammed' styled administration’ has drained the finances of the medical centre without any significant project to match the Millions of naira generated and allocation annually, and set it on an imminent path of failure.

An investigation by the group has revealed that the management of the medical centre awarded large sums of monies in questionable contracts to companies, and entities that were in some cases untraceable. 

Also, some of the projects were not done is currently enmeshed in financial fraud and job racketeering running into millions of naira.

The group also has called for the sacking of  the director admin Alhaji Lawali, and suspended the Medical Director and the Anti-corruption agencies such as the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) were called in to make a thorough investigation to bring the guilty parties to justice.

Based on the petition, the Medical Director has continued to corruptly enrich himself and his cronies.

The group call on the anti-graft agency to commence investigations into the FEDERAL MEDICAL CENTRE GUSAU.
