FUDMA VC BAGS AWARD OF EXCELLENCE

The Vice Chancellor, Federal University Dutsanma, Professor Armaya'u Hamisu Bichi has bagged an award of Excellence as Icon of Educational development.

The Commonwealth Tourism Journalists Nigeria, conferred the award on the Vice Chancellor at an event marking its annual lecture series and award held in Minna Niger state recently.

According to the President, Mr. Victor Daniel, the award was in recognition of Professor Bichi’s efforts towards the progress and patronage of the Pen profession which had impacted the Journalists in Nigeria positively.

Mr. Daniel stated that the Commonwealth Tourism Journalists found the Vice Chancellor worthy of the award because of the good relationship and gesture of goodwill between him and Journalists across nigeria.

In his remarks, the representative of Professor Bichi, Comrade Musa Mohammed thanked the organizers of the award for finding Professor Bichi Worthy. 

He added that the importance of Journalists in the country could not be underestimated because of their role in keeping the government and the governed adequately informed.

He assured the organizers that the Vice Chancellor will always promote the ideas of Journalists in Nigeria.

The award presentation which took place at the Ajooba Hotel and Resort was well attended by prominent personalities within nigeria.

Other awardees at the ceremony included: The Most Rev. Felix Ajakaye; the Executive Governor of Niger state, His Excellency, Dr. Abubakar Sani Bello able represented Dr. Ahmed Ibrahim Matane SSG Niger state, Hon Femi Bamisile; a member of the House of Representatives in Abuja representing Ondo South Federal Constituency II, Senator Micheal Opeyemi Bamidele (MOB); a Senator representing Ekiti Central senatorial District and Chief Benedict Olufemi Ajayi; a through bred media practitioner and former member House of Representatives, Abuja, among others.

In an open letter addressed to the President, the contractors, under the banner of “Concerned Contractors to Formal Act Legacy Ltd,” detailed a harrowing ordeal that began between January 2022 and early 2023.
