Philanthropist Pays WAEC, NECO Fees For 52 Indigent Students In Kaduna North.





The Principal of Asmau Makarfi Secondary School unguwan shanu kaduna, Malam Tsoho Abdullah, has lauded Hon. Abubakar Mahmoud Jarman Abakwa over payment of NECO and WAEC fees for 52 indigent secondary school students.

Recall that NECO and WAEC registration has been increased from N18, 000 Naira to about N34, 000.


The principal, in his remark during the Jarman Abakwa scholarship distribution, noted that the Jarma's decision will go a long way in ameliorating the hardship faced by parents in Kaduna north.


He commended Hon. Jarma for the scholarship for the school children, saying that there is no investment and legacy that surpasses that of human capital development which he said Chief Jarma has brought to his community, adding that generations to come will remember the indelible mark.

"Hon.Jarma through this decision would; Make load easier for parents who ordinarily could not afford to register NECO and WAEC for their children.

"Through this charter of needs mantra of the Philanthropy which this decision exhibits, Hon. Abubakar Mahmoud Jarman would succeed in raising educated and equipping the feature generation to stand on their own. A generation that the state would be proud of.


“Education is something that can lift somebody from nothing to something big in the society. You can build castles and mansions but nobody remembers you when you die, but it’s your legacies and those you touched their lives that will remember you tomorrow when you die.


Hon. Abubakar Mahmoud Jarma who sponsored the 52 students, said that the scholarship was one of his philanthropic gestures to give succour to the needy and less privileged students in the community which will be annually.

According to Hon. Jarma;
"The scholarship is born out of my passion to help the poor and less privileged ones in the society. It is not that I have much to give but, because I appreciate God’s continuous grace upon my life. Helping the needy has been my earnest prayer to God Almighty to provide me with the resources that i will use to actualize my dreams for the society.


“It is my wish that our yearly scholarship and will increase steadily by Gods grace to the indigent students who doesn’t have money to further their education, that's What motivated me to embark on this scholarship.

 "Kaduna state government values eduction that’s why we support every activities and policy that encourages eduction in the state", Jarma added.
